“Restore to me the joy of your salvation.” -King David, Psalm 51: 12
2nd Annual College Week … If you grew up going to a Bible camp, then you know what an impact a camp can have on your life. We hear many college-aged people talk about how they miss the days of being a camper with strong friendships, spiritual focus and a sense of belonging,. This made us realize that we need to do a better job meeting the needs of that age group. Very few camps offer weeks where college-aged people can experience camp without the pressure of being on staff. Last year we decided to rise to the challenge of creating a week to meet those needs and also to offer a challenging time of sharing, listening, and growing.
If you’re a college-aged person, consider this your invitation to be a part of our 2nd annual College Week. If you’re a 2010 senior in high school, you’ll also be able to attend this week of camp!
Many people confess that God is so hard to figure out that sometimes it seems like He’s playing hard-to-get. We listen to stories about pain and confusion, broken relationships, irrelevant churches, hurtful and hateful Christians and questions of faith that won’t go away. How can we defend the existence of God with the world in such a mess?
“I’ve been told GOD is good,
but how can a GOOD GOD let us be so hurt?”
There’s an active evil in this world that works to twist all that is good and peaceful. This twisting and corrupting damages all of us. God is fighting back on our side and He wants to restore all damaged parts of our lives. Now, we have to join the battle.
College Week is all about creating space where you can come and bring your baggage: pain, hurt , disappointments, questions and doubts. You can also bring your joys, triumphs and blessings.
If you’ve been hurt spiritually, emotionally, physically, or sexually, there is still hope for JOY. Come with us to face the questions, doubts, fears, and failings. We’ll search together for answers.
Just come be real for a week. Join us for interactive lessons from evocative speakers, times of prayer and praise, small group discussions, and personal study time. Then, each day will end with our much-acclaimed Coffee House!
